Hospitals do not close and we are OPEN for you.

– Please PHONE AHEAD to make an appointment to be seen.
– Please PHONE AHEAD to request the dispensing of chronic medications. We will have it ready for you, and we ask for 24 hour notifications.
– If our waiting room is crowded, please enjoy the space in our garden while you wait. Let reception know you have arrived. You can also wait in your car.
– Only one person is to accompany your pet for routine appointments. This keeps your family, and us safe.

Surcharges charged on weekends from 13.00pm Saturday afternoon through to early Monday morning, emergency consulting hours on weekends & appointments during the week for any elective choice, to avoid long waits – emergencies always attended to on arrival.

Blue Hills Veterinary Hospital value our staff, clients, and patients, enormously. Our business is grown on relationships, and our relationship with you is enjoyed and valuable. We provide a professional service to you and your pet, and have invested in excellent resources, equipment, medical supplies, and highly-trained personnel, to be able to provide the best service wherever possible. This inevitably does come with overhead costs. Please understand that we are not a credit institution, and as such do not run accounts. While we do our best to manage a Small Business and provide employment, the success of our business makes it necessary that our bills, too, get paid. So to reiterate, Blue Hills Veterinary Hospital does not run accounts. 

Our Vets should and will discuss cost-estimates regarding each individual patient case, and we would be happy to give you cost-estimates before treatment starts, and continue to update you with ongoing costs thereafter. Please feel comfortable to have these cost discussions with the vets, admin and accounts dept. 

Full payment is required at the time of consultation. We accept cash, debit, and all major credit cards, and provide secure access to the Internet for electronic transfers. 

Should your pet be hospitalized with us, we will request 50% of the cost-estimate on admission. The final balance is payable in full upon discharge, or on completion of treatment.
